Early Days of Instagram
Instagram, a social media platform primarily used for sharing photos and videos, was launched on October 6, 2010, by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger.

In April 2012, Facebook acquired Instagram for approximately $1 billion, which helped the platform expand its features and user base.
